Asante Uric Acid Test Strip
This product is a single-use uric acid test strip designed for use with dedicated instruments. It employs a dry chemistry method for in vitro quantitative detection of uric acid concentration in capillary whole blood or venous whole blood. Suitable for professional medical institutions or for home self-monitoring by hyperuricemia patients, serving as an evaluation indicator for the auxiliary diagnosis of hyperuricemia. Uric acid is the end product of purine metabolism. Abnormal concentrations indicate disrupted purine metabolism, and early monitoring aids in gout prevention and management.
Product Features
- Dry Chemistry Detection: The test strip’s reaction zone contains a fixed special electronic medium. Uric acid in the blood triggers a redox reaction that generates a microcurrent, which the instrument precisely converts into uric acid concentration (mg/dL or μmol/L).
- Dual Blood Source Compatibility: Supports both capillary blood from fingertips and venous whole blood, suitable for both home and clinical settings.
- Rapid Testing: Instrument automatically counts down after blood application, displaying results within seconds.
- Calibration Code Design: Each test strip cartridge includes a unique code card, ensuring consistent batch calibration and minimizing errors.
- Single-Use/Cartridge Options: Accommodates varying usage frequencies; valid for 3 months after opening.
Product Advantages
- Simple Operation: No professional training required; patients can perform testing at home.
- Instant Results: Ideal for daily monitoring by hyperuricemia patients to promptly adjust diet/medication.
- High Accuracy: Electronic medium reacts sensitively, with microcurrents precisely corresponding to concentration changes.
- High Safety: Single-use design prevents cross-contamination; waste disposal follows standardized protocols.
- Wide Environmental Adaptability: Testable at 10–40°C (14–104°F) and humidity <80%, suitable for everyday environments.
Storage & Shelf Life
- Storage Conditions: 2–30°C (36–86°F), protected from light, relative humidity <80%. Do not freeze.
- Shelf Life: Unopened: 20 months (see outer box); Cartridge opened: 3 months (record first opening date); Single-use foil pouch: Use immediately after opening.
- Note: Moisture exposure, expiration, or improper storage will invalidate results.
Test Procedure
- Preparation: Test strip, device, lancet, alcohol swab. Ambient temperature 10–40°C.
- Hand Disinfection: Wash hands with warm water → Disinfect fingertips with alcohol (do not use iodine) → Allow to dry.
- Insert Test Strip: Verify calibration code matches → Screen displays flashing drop symbol.
- Blood Collection: Squeeze sufficient blood (>1μL) → Test strip automatically draws blood → Device counts down.
- Read Result: Screen displays result after several seconds.
- Disposal: Place test strip/lancet into sharps container.
Precautions
- Do not grasp the device’s temperature sensor area.
- Insufficient blood volume requires retesting; do not apply a second drop.
- Immediately replace the cap after removing the test strip to prevent moisture exposure.
- Used test strips pose a biohazard and must be properly sealed and disposed of.
