FORA Uric Acid Test Strips (10 Sheets)
Uric Acid—A New Indicator for Sugar Control:
- Uric acid is the final metabolic product of purines in the body, generated from the natural breakdown of body cells and certain foods (like seafood and alcohol). It is primarily excreted by the kidneys. Under healthy conditions, most uric acid is filtered out by the kidneys and expelled through urine. However, poor dietary habits can lead to uric acid problems and other health issues.
Normal Uric Acid Levels:
- Men: 3.5 – 7.2 mg/dL
- Women: 2.6 – 6 mg/dL
